I like this quote, especially for my marriage, because when I try to be the wife I need to be I manage to fall short. But when I surrender my heart to God, and allow Him to change me, I am the becoming more like the wife in Proverbs 31.
The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her safely so that he has no lack of gain...she will comfort, encourage, and do him good as long as there is life within her. Proverbs 31:11:12
In this new year, I'm not so focused on a new year's resolution as I am being more surrendered to God in every area of my life. He can do more with my life than I can.
